EXPRESS CREMATIONS

When someone dies.

Start with the situation you are in. You do not need to make every decision at once.

First, get the appropriate help.

If there is an immediate emergency or you are unsure whether someone has died, call 999. For an expected death, contact the healthcare professional or service responsible for their care and follow their instructions.

If the person is in hospital, a hospice or a care home, the staff can explain the immediate next steps and when a funeral director can become involved.

When you contact us

It helps to have the person’s location and postcode, the name of the person or organisation currently caring for them, and your own contact details. Ask what needs to happen before any transfer is arranged.

    Remember your way

The cremation is unattended. A separate remembrance can be as personal as you wish.

The phone line is answered 24 hours. Collection times and any urgent or out-of-hours charges are agreed with you; no fixed response time is promised.
